Our Story
Family-owned in downtown Willimantic since 2011
How We Got Here
A Family Pub, Built by Hand
The Harp on Church opened its doors on Church Street in 2011, started by a Willimantic native with a simple idea: bring the warmth of a real Irish pub to the town he grew up in. Since then, it's stayed exactly what it started as — a family business, run by family, for the community around it.
Step inside and you'll find rich wood furnishings, cozy nooks, and the glow of candlelight — the kind of room that makes strangers feel like regulars. Our kitchen leans on Irish classics done right: fish and chips, shepherd's pie, a stew that's been on the menu since day one. Whenever we can, we cook with produce grown close to home.
We're proud to be part of downtown Willimantic — a small mill town with a big personality, home to Eastern Connecticut State University, the Third Thursday Street Fest, and the Boom Box Parade every Fourth of July. Whether you're a regular who's been coming in since we opened, a student stopping by for the first time, or just passing through, pull up a stool. Sláinte.
